The Association of Chartered Society of Physiotherapists Interested in Vestibular Rehabilitation (ACPIVR) is a professional network that has been recognised by the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).

This privacy policy explains how we use any personal information we collect about you when you become a member of ACPIVR or register for any events or conferences organised by ACPIVR.

Information that you provide to us as a member of ACPIVR, when you renew your membership with ACPIVR, or register for events or conferences organised by ACPIVR. This includes your name, affiliation, professional and personal contact details. If you contact us, we may keep a record of any correspondence.  If you do not want any correspondence retained, you may ask for it to be deleted.  However, there may be some circumstances where we may need to keep a record of the correspondence and you will be advised accordingly.

We do not collect personal information about you when you are browsing through our site.

How we use this information

As a member, we use your data to provide you with our biannual journal ‘Balance Focus’ and to inform you about network activities and events from time to time.

We also share information with researchers who seek to access the membership for research studies. ACPIVR will only do this if the research is in accordance with Good Clinical Practice & Research Governance guidelines, and has been approved in accordance with the ACPIVR application process. For further details you can contact PRO@acpivr.com. We seek your permission to do so when you become a member of ACPIVR or renew your membership. You may unsubscribe from this service at any time by logging into the website and updating your personal information directly.

Members can also apply to have their professional contact details included in the list of providers on the ACPIVR website. Your information will not appear automatically. If you would like to be included on the map or need to change your details, please email membership@acpivr.com

Storing your personal data

We do our utmost to ensure that all reasonable steps are taken to make sure that your data is treated and stored securely. We will only retain your data for as long as you are a member of ACPIVR. If your membership expires your personal information may still be retained by ACPIVR.

If you wish ACPIVR to delete your personal information once you are no longer registered as a member, please contact membership@acpivr.com to request this.

Our events registration forms are hosted by Eventbrite, a company that specialises in the management of conferences and events. They collect and store details of people who have registered for ACPIVR events. We may use this information to contact you regarding other network activities or events in the future. Access to your information and correction

You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all your personal information, please contact the ACPIVR membership secretary.

We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. You can view or change your information directly by updating your personal details on the ACPIVR website.
